The prompt
Attach the clip as the video input and your photo as the first image, then use: “Replace only the man who feeds the cat with the person in image 1, in every shot where he appears, including his hand and arm when he gives the treat. Keep the face, hair and clothes from image 1. Keep the black cat with its wide grin, its clapping, its paw over the mouth and its handshake exactly as they are, and keep the room, the camera angles and the cuts unchanged. One person and one cat, no extra fingers, no text.”
Why each part is there
- “Replace only the man” stops the model from also redrawing the cat or the room.
- Naming the hand and arm keeps the skin tone consistent in the top-down treat shot.
- Listing the cat’s beats protects the grin and the clap, which models tend to smooth away.
- “One person and one cat” prevents a second owner or a duplicate cat from appearing.
Where it usually breaks
- The cat loses its grin: regenerate, or move the cat instructions to the start of the prompt.
- Extra or merged fingers during the handshake: use a sharper photo and regenerate.
- The face drifts in the low-angle shots: use a front-facing photo taken from slightly below.
- Clothes change between shots: use a photo where your top is clearly visible.
The shortcut
Clapping Cat runs this kind of edit for you with a fixed, tested prompt: upload one photo and download a 10-second vertical MP4 with sound.
